My name is Rachel and I’ve been vegan for about two and a half years (with a couple short breaks induced by traveling) and vegetarian for seven and a half. I spend most of my time at college in the Midwest, where I rarely have a chance to cook, though I am fond of making cupcakes for special occasions. When I’m not in school I take full advantage of my house’s clean kitchen and well-stocked pantry and cook whatever I can. I am particularly fond of baking, extra-particularly cupcakes.
I started cooking seriously—ish—as a project for Winter Break (see “the Challenge”). Now I have only my own stomach (and those of my friends) to motivate me to cook, but I think that has proven sufficient.
